I purchased a brand new Chromebook but it does not want to accept VDJ Pro. Is there an extension or patch or workaround?

No, VDJ has never been supported on Chrome OS and never will be.

VDJ, Serato, Rekordbox and Traktor are not compatible with the Chromebook operating system
You should however be able to install djay from the Google Play store, and that should theoretically work. The reason being that a Chromebook is technically pretty close to an Android phone (except without the phone feature)
But generally speaking Chromebooks are not recommended for DJing
