I've just been going through some of my video drops and loops that I have in sample banks.
I've noticed in the sample editor, if I change the name I want displayed on the pad, it doesn't update if the clip is just video (no audio).
If the clip has audio, even if it's not enabled, then changing the name correctly updates on the pad.

And when you re-open the sample editor, the name is showing the updated name, or the old name again?

No, the name change doesn't save. Re-opening shows the original name.
