There are new releases all the time - typically one public release per month with new build numbers
There are also sometimes bigger releases. But those are labeled based on year
So the latest 3 big releases have been labeled Virtual DJ 2018, Virtual DJ 2020 and Virtual DJ 2021
Behind the scenes they have a build number, but they do also have a version like you suggest. The latest 3 ones have been v8.3, v8.4 and v8.5. So the next bigger release may be called v9.0 - but I think it's more likely that it will be called v8.6 behind the scenes
However that will be behinds the scenes. I'm almost positive that the next major release of VDJ will get the public name Virtual DJ 2022
Regarding what new features are included, that is never announced before release, so can't help you with that. Very few people know, and I'm not one of them :)
