If a cover is shown on the video output (could be video skin, cover or title plugin for example), and that cover was a generated cover (the track did not have it's own cover, but it's generated by vdj showing artist and title) then there was a chance vdj would crash.

And my next question is, why my video skin never show this generated covers? Always are blank (nothing)? Is a special cover syntax on the skin? Or works on any skin?

if no tag, filename is used
Idea:
if filetype is video maybe some frame (i.e.: @start or @first beat) could be used instead of color gradient with filetype logo
