Good day. This post is actually for a friend. I have a ddjsz2 and rane 72mk2 with the rane 12’s. I broadcast just fine. I want/need to know what smaller options are out there. He has an nv2 and can’t get his mic to work during a live broadcast, or to record.
He needs a smaller controller for space issues.

To record/broadcast mic many controllers need a loopback since the mic is in hardware only, and never heard by the computer (or VirtualDJ) but rather goes straight to the speaker output on the controller.
With a loopback you can broadcast / record mic..

(some more advanced controllers have this loopback built into the driver, some by Pioneer for example)
As for smaller controller, if he still wants, there are so many to choose from
