Could it be perhaps that you already have this effect selected and try install over?
See in skin if its already there.. (aka the effect is in use, and might not be able to overwrite)
Other than that, it should work fine, unless some network hickup
Dont know any VST that is same, but probably are many .. . its just that its 10.000s of VST so can be a bit of a needle in haystack to find what you want ;-)
