I got a new pc for Christmas and will be transferring my music to an external drive to use on new pc. What external ssd drives would you suggest to make sure searching speed etc is fast ?
Trying to make sure I get the correct drive.
Thanks everyone

I´ve good experiene with Samsung drives.
For example T5, T7 or X5 series.
I just would not go for a "touch" version as here is a finger rpint protection inside that may require some kind of driver/software that could disturb VDJ.
But this is could/should/would, I just would skip it for prevention and have no pratical experience with this function.

USB 3 is as well available in A/B format and not only in C.
If the laptop has the connector I would go in 2020 on the USB-C.
Just due to the fact that it is more future proof and has the more easy connector (plug in both directions).

I've been using Samsung T5 drives for a while now and they're great. They come with USB A to C and C to C cables.

WD My Passport Ultra been using for a couple years works great
this is mechanical not SSD
SSD is great if you are worried about a lot of vibrations also can be very durable :-)
