Topic: Program a Pad on Controller

I would like to program a pad button (from the controller) as a mic. I added it to the mapping on the pad button and it works great..however, I can not seem to stop what is already there. The pad does both. Can the original pad effect be stopped or deactivated somehow or is it inherent in the hardware (controller) permanently?

If you just assign the action "mic", that makes it toggle-able by default.
