i need a tutorial video that doesn't say, "its as easy as clicking the record button", because it aint.

these audio settings are recording the microphone and all sorts of things...

For microphone, this depends a lot on where you microphone is connected.
In its simplests form, a usb mic or one connected directly through pc sound card, see here:

i tried that last time, didnt work out, these audio setting with a controller connected are confusing me

And if you are having any troubles, then specify what gear you have.
Since recording often is related to how the hardware is made.

Some gear require a record loopback, other gear does not.
And for some gear a loopback is required for mic, others not.
(but is well explained in the hardware manual for that controller if so)

And if its not recording the mic you want, it depends on where the mic is connected, what gear you have.
If its just a simple usb mic, then all you need to do is set recordMicrophone to "no" in settings ;-)
