Topic: Splitter not working?

I bought a y splitter for VDJ in order to try and play one deck out of the speakers and one deck in my headphones, however all I'm getting is one deck playing out the right speaker/left speaker and right speaker/left headphone rather than out of the speaker and headphones separately.

I've got the sound setting as 'Stereo to mono splitter' but it's still playing like that. What could be causing this?

Sounds like you didn't get the right splitter then.
It should separate left and right to different output connections, but it sounds like it just splits the signal into 2 identical outputs.

It advertises itself as:

So presumably thats wrong and i need a splitter that treats the speakers and the headphones completely separately? All the ones i can see work the same way as the one i bought?

Search for DJ headphone splitters.

Better still, buy a DJ audio interface that has at least two stereo outputs.
