Hi all
i'm pulling my hair out now trying to get this to work.
i have a TPlink archer MR200 router. i went in and added port 8000 to virtual servers and also tried prot triggering, neither worked.
i've tried tethering directly to my phone with firewall turned off, still not joy.
tried adding the exemption to windows fire wall again with no results.
what am i missing here?

You probably need to open port 8000 at your computer
When you have VirtualDJ broadcast running, use this https://www.canyouseeme.org/ and enter port 8000
Can your computer be reached?
If not, then something is still blocking.
Try find your router model here https://portforward.com/router.htm to make sure you did the right thing.
As well as make sure VirtualDJ is not blocked in any software firewall, "anti virus suite" etc

one other thing to remember is that if on a Windows computer you have to allow VirtualDJ through as exception
had same issue long while back and this solved it.
but if on mac...no idea.
