Thanks - kind of works, but I really wanted to get that drop down list that you get with the `effect_mixfx` command which has a tick next to whichever effect is selected.
It's not really that important as it doesn't really add any functionality other than another route to achieve an end. I'm more curious, when other similar scripts seem to work ok, as to why it doesn't work - as an opportunity to learn whether it is an error in my scripting or is it a quirk in the `effect_mixfx` progamming deep under the VirtualDJ bonnet? :-)
