With my Mackbook Pro I7 laptop, after I open Virtual DJ using the Pioneer DDJ SZ2 , I have to wait for a few seconds before turning up the master volume on the controller, because the volume sliders on the controller do not work with the volume sliders in the software until after about 5 seconds then they start to move up and down.

I figured it out, In the Controller settings, Controllertakeovermode must be set to instant. When this is set the controller and the software matches instantly.
