would love it if I could say all 7 and 8 que points are yellow.
all 1 and is green
all 2 is orange
somthing like this then when ever I set a 7 or 8 it would always be the color I set and I would not have to manually change each one.

From VirtualDJ Settings-->OPTIONS tab, search for nonColoredPoi setting and set it to "Per-cue"
This will offer different colors for Hotcues 1 to 8, depending on their number. Red for 1, Orange for 2, Blue for 3 etc.
Note that this setting will not apply to Hotcues for which you have defined a specific one in POI Editor.
The pre-defined per-cue colors are standard and cant be changed
I am pretty sure you would want to have different colors than the pre-defined ones, but at least you have a way to achieve more or less what you want.
