I am wondering if there is a way to broadcast the mic output, but not have it go to the master. In this particular situation I am using this for, this is causing feedback.

Depends on the Sound card, Microphone, mixer, controller and other gear, and how are those connected and used in the Audio Setup. Can you provide more details ?
One case i can think of, is to add a Booth Output in the Audio Setup and use that to connect your speakers. Master still needs to be routed to some other Output then (e.g. chans 3,4 of the sound card), but at least you will not getting the Mic to the speakers. This will require a sound card with at least 3 stereo outputs though (1 to route Master, another to route Booth and a 3rd for your headphones)

If you've connected your speakers to the boothOutput you have to set the option "boothMicrophone" to off/ no

Thanks, djdad. That did work, though I have concerns about timing... what is considered the "master clock" in that scenario? I'm thinking the master out? I decided to go another route for playback, and to use VirtualDJ solely for broadcasting the mic, but still am curious for potential future endeavors.
