Hi,
when I load a video track without audio the background scan of the file is incredibly slow as opposed to one that has audio.
I know the chance of doing this is rare but I thought VDJ would be smart enough to work out there is no audio track and process a whole lot quicker.
It's really slow!!!

How do you know it is scanning, and why does it matter how slow it is, since there's nothing to be gained from the scan anyway

I know it is scanning as you see the solid waveform make it's way across the display.
It's probably nothing but it does worry you when you see it slowly crawling across the screen
If there is nothing to be gained from scanning the file why does VDJ even do it?

I don't think it has something to do with if there is audio in the video file or not.
I get that sometimes too but I have not the slightest idea why it happens, when it happens and how to solve it.
It suddently can happen and a track that normaly loads within 2 or 3 seconds takes up to ~1 minute until the complete waveform is loaded.
It is completely random.
But I have the feeling it is more likely to happen if you switch between different songs on a deck while the wave of the tracks are still loading.
I think the loading time adds up somehow and at one point it is just too much.

This is how it behaves :
