Topic: Display a jpg?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

In the main options I added jpg to the browser formats.
The required hidden jpg photo then appeared which I then was able to drag it into the sampler, and activate as a static video???
Hence pressing a button on my sub controller displays this photo on a long term basis.
Any comments, improvements, or problems?

SBDJ hjas suggested this sort of thing in the past.

Don't forget you can resize it also. I actually just found this out the other night thanks to Scott and Tayla, lol!!

What kind of photo is it?? An advert of some sort, for you or the venue your playing in on said night?

I don't display to many pictures unless they are from Instagram or Twitter but I always felt something animated looks better plus its more bound to catch your eye, that's my opinion anyways.

A 70 year old Grandma.

Very important !

I just drag and drop from an open folder directly to the sampler then can edit for size and alpha from there if I need to.

I actually used this for pokemon go characters to mess with the drunks on screen - edited the pics and saved as png with transparency then resized after dragging to sampler.

Once the jpg extension has been added to the browser then a photo can also be dropped onto a deck and played.

The Tellymedia plugin seems to be the way to go when displaying photos. You can load up a bank, and select the required photos manually or whatever. Using a mobile phone photos can be taken during a function, and then using Dropbox, or something similar fed to Tellymedia.

Advanced display possibilities are offered by both Tellymedia, and Tellyvisuals.
Don Moir's VirtualDJ Plugins have done a great deal to enhance the video display capabilities of VDJ8.

And there ends the sales pitch from Ron... pmsl

I should point out that Don's apps are free!
He would like a donation to aid his work, not yet from me..but soon.
You're good Tayla !
As are Cybervisuals, Locodog, SBDJj, and DjDad.

I'm new to video, those I've mentioned have helped a lot.

Hm..there might be something going on over Don's work I don't know about?

It might be that he offers the free downloads from his website as well as vdj8 addons. This might aid the pirates?

Anyway my only interest is to help the newbies.

the only vdj 8 add-ons linked on Don's webpage are TellyVisuals and TellyMedia, the only one's we've donated to help expand (and IMO are VERY well worth it!) are the 'plus' versions of those and the Telly Container which allows them to run outside of VDJ (like a packaged pre-view of the plug in sorta that you could use if you just wanted to put media on screens without VDJ or any music software running. but that's a separate thing from the freebies)

and my "sales pitch" is - we use it every single night for birthdays, announcements, pics, can toss a video clip on screen from someone (muting the audio of course) in TM and get that interspersed with flyers, birthday pics, and whatnot, customize a layout so you have pics, media, and your music videos all at once?
happy customers, happy employers?
I have gladly donated as much as I can!

Wild..that's a good sales pitch!
£15.80 = $20
I joined the club.

I'm the sound and (cough) video engineer tonight, this means I can often sit in the managers office drinking coffee while awaiting disaster.
Everything is ok for the moment.

I've used it to avert disaster when our manager created chaos... long story...
if you're not in the FB group already just look us up https://www.facebook.com/groups/TellyMediaTellyvisuals/ and i'll add ya. pretty much everyone in is video and karaoke oriented for gigs. and Don does go out of his way most times to help people if they run into problems.

Guys, I was taking the Michael, Dons stuff is excellent and I will repeat what I have said in the past to save further confusion, Don should have being offered some form of position within Atomix, he listens to what is wanted and required by users and makes it happen, maybe's doing this would free up some of the workload and help the rest of the team on other projects while he can get on making a much needed fully integrated working video plugin.

But that is just my opinion and accounts for jack shit around here.

And I'm glad at least Ron saw my sense of humour.

wait... i'm confused...

Tayla has a sense of humor?
