I found a solution that helps me. I just got the ns7iii. But I been experiencing high cpu with 8.2 I just upgraded from version 7. Cpu was not an issue. With 8.2 the screen and sound would freeze when I loaded my next song. After doing a lot of research for the last 2 days.
I found out that if I go into OPTIONS and go to SONGLOADPRIORITY change the setting to IDLE. VDJ will load the song slower than normal but at the same time the Cpu wouldn't go all the way to 100% to cause the screen or music to freeze.
I really hope this help a lot of us

This is starting to look as if both windows, and vdj should be optimised for slower laptops mixing video. There are plenty of vdj tweaks which might aid video mixing, and multitasking.
The thing is that if the vdj cpu indicator goes red then the video playing may freeze. Its the cpu not the graphics card.
I hope you all realise that the windows operating system supplies vastly superior tools to the vdj cpu indicator.
