In version 7 when analyzing the bpm we could disable so the bpm wouldn't go below 80bpm, (if the system thought it was 75bpm it would show it as 150 bpm) Is there a way to do this in version 8? I re-analyzed my music and most of my high bpm songs have all been changed to lower bpms
Thanks
Thanks

There's no setting but you can correct the wrong ones quite easy in one go

Aye the list is growing (samples to slots, cues being off, beat tap) but every one does stuff differently and you can't account for every method, sometimes habits have to change,
This one is an easy fix.

Can I ask how you did this?
Had you allowed 8 to read your existing 7 DB (inc. BPM) and then scanned the files in 8 again, or did you start from a complete blank slate in 8 (no import of the 7 DB) and scan?
I'm wondering if 8 changed existing BPM data that'd been imported from 7....

Couldn't agree more. There are something's, like this BPM issue that would an easy fix and will probably get picked up.
There are of course other new features or changes that we all have to get used to. Sure it's a learning curve but sometimes these things have to be done.
It's like when Microsoft changed to the ribbon in Microsoft Office. No one liked and everyone wanted it changed back, but now, not only is it still there and people used to it, it's now included in other applications and in Windows itself.

Adjusted topic title slightly so it's clearer what the request is.

no, because Microsoft did not deleted any of the functions from that menu bar, they moved the functions inside modules to make some order and improving design to make it more modern
but, in VDJ the feature "Allow BPM < 80 BPM" was completely removed (no idea for what reason), and that is not good, so I hope this function will re-added in a next beta build.

as you chose to only quote what you didnt agree with i though id point out that i agree with this feature coming back.
The point i was making that some features have changed. Of course those functions that have been removed without an alternative need to be considered to be returned. Not upto me whether they are or not returned.

I opened 8 saw that many of my songs had not imported from 7, I right clicked on itunes and chose add to search database, many of the songs that imported did not have bpm so i highlighted the ones that didn't and clicked analyze when 8 was done analyzing the bpms were wrong. So they should have imported from 7 and they didn't and when 8 analyzed them they are either half what they should be or twice what they should be. Since 8 imported from itunes they probably wasnt bpm info saved but it did not import the all of data from 7
