I have a MacBook Pro upgraded to 8GB ram with OSX 10.9.2 on it. I want to be able to have friends come over and sing at my house. I know this is allowed for the Home edition but here is my problem.
I am able to get the audio track to play through my bluetooth speaker, but I am not able to get my USB Microphone to put out any sound. In the OS X control panel it looks like the microphone is detecting sound.
Can someone advise me what my problem is?

I'm sorry but the USB Mic is a second sound card for VDJ and so it will not work with Home Free for a longer time.
In your case you will need to buy min. the Pro Basic.
OR when your Mac does have a onboard sound card with a headphone output AND and a Mic/Line input you can use it your way.
But you will need to have a Mic with a jack instead of USB :-)

Haui70. The Mic I have is a USB and XLR Mic item is http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=16575596
The MacBook Pro I have is MacBook Pro MD313LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop
If I use the XLR connector on the Mic and a 3.5mm Male to XLR connector will this work for me?
