I want to record a few vocal samples but they have an underlying beat. Are there any effects thast just keep the vocals?

Thanks

You're trying to record only vocals from a track that has music behind the vocal? Can't be done.

What you need is the a cappella version of the track in question. If there isn't one, then what you want is not possible.

So there is no filtering technique, even if it warps the vocals a bit?

If there is an instrumental version of the track which is exactly the same as the vocal one, just without the voice, then there's a technique called phase cancellation which can sometimes give reasonable results.

Plenty of info (inc videos) online via Google.

You'll never get a nice clean result with this method though. It'll always sound "swimmy", and you'll often be left with bits of music too.

It's like mixing blue and red ink in a glas and mix them together. You could try to split them up again but this is not really possible.

there are .. .wont be perfect, but can be decent.

Basically you "sample" the instrumental parts, and subtract that from the song..
Think the above 2 videos shows how...

But usually its far easier to google for the acapella ;) Either the artist has released one, and you can buy/download, or one from the thousands of clever mashup guys have filtered one .. so you wont have to try do it ;)
