Hi guy's a friend of mine had just bought the CDJ-350 & DJM-350 Package and it arrived today, he has virtualdj 7.0.5 installed and downloaded all the latest drivers for DJM + CDJ.
He has them connected to his PC using Midi (usb) and they work and mapped fine, however the DJM350 doesnt display on the screen, example when moving the crossfader it works, but it isnt showing it has moved on the screen, also the sound quality is really realllly bad, its so distort its unreal, he is connected through RCA cables from both decks into the mixer, the Setting on VDJ are as follows;
Inputs: None
Outputs: External Mixer (Deck1 First card/Deck2 Second card)
Sound Card : 2 sound cards (speakers CDJ1 Speakers CDJ2)
The sound quality is absoloutely awful you cant even hear what song is playing at all, does anybody knows what the hell is wrong?
Also the headphones quality is exactly the same.

My guess is that he's plugged the CDJ outputs into the phono (turntable) inputs of the mixer.
They output at line level, so need to be plugged into the sockets marked line or CD.
This sort of stuff is beginner level knowledge, but should also be mentioned in the product manuals.
The DJM350 is a real mixer. It won't control the on screen mixer in VDJ because it's not a USB controller, and also there's no need for the on screen mixer when you have a real one connected!

You should try using the Pioneer ASIO drivers as well. Judging from your Sound Setup, you were using the WDM ones. (Unless of course you were using a Mac computer)
Make sure the computer is well optimized too ..
