Recently purchased the new XDJ-R1. When setting it up with VirtualDJ LE edition, the only sound effect that'll work on the hardware is the flanger. Highly frustrated as this effects the way I wish to mix. Local DJ Warehouse store have no idea why, all Pioneer told me to do was send an email which haven't been responded to and my first gig is coming up soon. I need the hardware working just like normal when hooked up with VirtualDJ. Anyone have an idea? Would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the unit but the hardware effects will not work when your using it as a MIDI controller. It is this way with any controller I believe.

It's confusing, but my friend also had an x1 and virtual dj. one of the small switches on the back of the x1 allows you to select whether you use 'internal mixer' mode or 'external mixer' mode. I'm just really sorry that I can't remember which switch and in which position! Sorry.
