I'm using VDJ 7.4 PRO
I'm deejaying without any timecode.. (just a computer, a 4-out interface and a DJ mixer)
I was using traktor 3 since a long time ago, with OS X 10.5.. Now that I'm on Lion, and that I had to switch to Traktor Pro, I simply cannot deejay anymore the way I liked because of Traktor pro horrible pitch function.. so I decided to switch back to VDJ..
The only thing I don't know how to do with VDJ is a fast backspin...in traktor, in vinyl mode (without timecode!), you just have to "grab" the wave form clicking on it, and move your finger fast on the trackpad, from left to right, and there you go, you have a fast and agressive backspin, perfect before a drop... anyone knows how I can do that with VDJ (for now I can do a similar effect, but spinning my finger in circles on the trackpad, wich is a rather tricky and not very practical thing to do)

Why not use the standard backspin effect that comes with VirtualDJ?
Simply select it in the effects slot of the skin and then click to activate. The effect also has a slider to adjust how long the backspin takes, so can be configured either for a short or long backspin.

Thanks a lot for you're answer! I'm trying to do as you say and it might be a useful alternative indeed.
I would have liked to do it the way I was doing it in traktor, though.. grabbing the wave form! You can actually do this in VDJ.. the only problem is that when I release my finger from the trackpad, the backspin stops..

A Man and His Music
Grabbing a waveform seems like a lot of work to me. You can map a key on your computer to activate the backspin, one for each deck.

Hi there I'm using VDJ 8 2018 and I was wondering if you can adjust the speed of your backspin. So what I mean is if I hit the backspin button it will spin but I find it spins slowly cuz in my country we usually do a quick backspin so I was wondering if it is possible or will it be in a later version
