Hi... was wondering. does anyone know if in the maps that were created for the dj-ergo is there a 4beat back and forth button i cant seem to find it. or access it. i used to have a Hercules rmx and it had the 4beat skip back and forth buttons and i also have cdj400s and the maps for that have the 4beat skip.. really missing this as i use it to help drop when beat mixing .. :)

open up the mapper xml file with wordpad, then use the "find" function for "goto" the correct syntax is "goto -4" and "goto +4" if it is there great, if not map it in... Personallly I have an endless encoder for a combination of loop move (if looping) and goto (not looping)
loop ? param_greater 0% ? loop_move +1 : loop_move -1 : param_greater 0% ? goto +4 : goto -4
loop ? param_greater 0% ? loop_move +1 : loop_move -1 : param_greater 0% ? goto +4 : goto -4

well they have not released a .mapper file its built into virtual dj... and can not see that in the mapper folder... just got to try and work out how to add it..... ergo has a shift must be able to add under a key !! :) anyone tried ?

if you want it on two seperate buttons, I nominate the pitch bend buttons under a shift...

make sure you use the shift name that cstoll gave it in the mapper... It could be "$shift" or something else..

Please look at the unit before making such a recommendation ... the DDJ-ERGO does not have Pitch Bend buttons ...
There aren't to many freely available buttons to chose from ... my only logical suggestion would be to change the action for the shift functionality of the LOOP IN / OUT buttons.
The Jog wheel when holding the shift button does a fast search ... but if you are literally looking for just jumping by 1 measure at a time then use the IN/OUT buttons for loop.
Change the mappings >> LOOP_MOVE- to goto -4 -AND- LOOP_MOVE+ to goto +4

sorry Chris, I should have looked at a photo but it's just so damn ugly it hurts my eyes! LMAO! :-P don't know why pioneer even try to get into the controller market.

to be honest i think it looks nice. but you are right wish i had saved up a little more and got the pro tools :) but happy.. does what i need it do do and have cdj400`s to play out proper !! :)
