话题: Master Through Laptop, Cue Through Mixtrack Pro

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hey guys. Now, I've googled this and searched far and wide, and at this point I've more or less abandoned the idea that this is possible. But, I figured as a last effort, I'll ask you guys if you have any suggestions.

Obviously, the Mixtrack Pro is made to output sound through the use of it's rear RCA inputs. In some cases, I'll use that option and everything works perfectly. But other times, like right now, I don't really feel like going to my basement and setting up my receiver/speakers etc, and would really just rather use my laptop speakers. However, by using the laptop speakers, I have no Cue.

Is there anyway to use the 2 Cards setup to achieve something similar to this... "Master: Primary Sound Drive, Second: Mixtrack Pro Cue"?

Because I'm on my laptop, I do not have a Line-In jack, and I recently lost my USB soundcard, so these two options are no-go's.

Thanks guys.

A cheap solution for you is to buy a 3.5 mm female to 2 RCA male adapter, like this one.

Connect the 2 RCA males (from the adapter) to the same output that you use to connect your receiver/amp.
Then find a pair of computer speakers that you like & connect them to the 3.5 mm female input of the adapter.

A cheap set of $20 2.1 computer speakers will most likely sound much better than the speakers on your laptop.

Problem solved for around $25.

If your laptop supports it, you can use the RCA Y to 1/8" into the line in on the laptop. Then the sound will come out of your laptop speakers, if the line in is unmuted.

FYI, the above setup will not work, (even with Pro Full) at least for the case someone needs to use his built in sound card as master output and the controller's headphones input for prelistening.
The reason is that with the above sound setup, Virtualdj will route the headphones to outputs 1,2 of the second sound card and not to 3,4 where usually headphones are by default on controllers.

So bottom line, user needs to create an Advanced Sound setup to deal with multiple outputs, which of course is available only in Pro Full version.
