I haven't recently upgraded to VDJ 7 after using 5 for several years.
On VDJ 5, if I were in a loop, and then I hit a cue button, the song would play from the cue point and continue on. In VDJ 7, if I do the same thing, the song plays from the cue point, but the loop is still engaged. So if I had a 4 beat loop and press cue 2, it will play from cue 2 for 4 beats and then go back to cue 2.
Is there a way to disable this feature, so that when I hit a cue point the loop is no longer active?

you would need to change the mapping of the skin and/or controller to
loop ? loop_exit & hot_cue 1 : hot_cue 1
loop ? loop_exit & hot_cue 1 : hot_cue 1

Thanks for the response. So what you are suggesting is the the cue button is not only assigned to go to a cue point, but is also explicitly says to exit the loop?

no worries eddie, glad to help... And to your other question, yes the script is so that, if you are in a loop the button will exit the loop and go to the cue, but if you are not looping it won't exit the loop, just go to the hot cue like normal..
