I can run VDJ great, and this last time it went 3 hours before any incident. I'll be playing, and I'll start noticing that the videos & even mp3's take a long time to load after awhile. I have my "oh shit, i'm about to crash" prep worked out (thank goodness for Pioneer and their USB port in the CDJ's) However it's not video's.
What's happened is I'll see the distoration and latency of loading mp4's and mp3's onto the playing desks, and then ultimately it crashes. Another pre-cursor I've found is a distoration of sound, like turning a deck off and letting it slow down, just more annoying. I've created the distoration when I mixing and using effects, however I've also had the same distoration when doing nothing.
I'm running the current VDJ, I have the correct skin, i have a Toshiba Satelite i7, I even upgraded to 8 (possibly 16 DDR SDRAM), To reduce computer usage, I use Game Booster and then just run VDJ. Performance from the laptop I can't see being an issue, and not sure where to turn to help eliminate this problem.
I'm using Pioneer products mixer, cdj's.
Getting frustrated and not sure what to do next, any suggestions out there? Can I provide any further details?
