I have used CD's for many years and now want to make the switch to a digital DJ system. I am testing with Virtual DJ at the moment but cannot find a way to make cue points like i always did on CD players. The way i used to make cue points is:
hit the pause / play button
rotate the jog wheel until i found the right point
hit cue and my cue point is set
When i do this in Virtual DJ the software only allows me to make cue points in Vinyl mode, but i do not want to search in Vinyl mode to the right point in a track, i want to search in Frame search mode to the point where i want to set my cue point.
I am searching the whole evening now but cannot find out how to do that.

TexZk has created a plugin called cdj frame for registered pro users that replicates the stutter effect

If your cdj does not send midi information you cannot use the standard controls accept for the transport without using a midi controller like the knog nano pad or even your computer keyboard can be mapped
