Topic: How do I make my mix louder?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I just recorded a mix using my hercules rmx. I had to reduce the gain on the rmx as I was unable to control the volume on the speakers (using PC speakers) to prevent it blaring out! Is there a way in which I can increase the volume of my mix, so that I can hear it clearly without turning the speakers to max?

Could this be done by downloading a program or something else?

If you're recording to mp3 you can adjust the gain with the following:

http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

If you're recording to WAV I use Sony Sound Forge Pro to adjust the levels (Normalize) there are other sound editors available some of them are free such as Audacity:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Hope this helps.

if you have cubase, sonar, pro tools, audition, or any other sequencers. I would recommend using a limiter plug in. with high end vst plug ins you can get it loud and clear with little or no artifacts.
