hi Dj's, there's something I wanna bring up and haven't seen yet on the forums. it's important we agree on this matter so we all know the difference when playing at a club with a top quality sound system. ok here's the issue:

When I connect VDJ to my decks, I normally prefer using an analog mixer such as a DJM800. It's just cause previously when using digital mixers built in midi controllers, there was never had the same powerful and accurate EQ's. However, I wondered if the new generation of 4-channel controllers like the Denon mc6000 and numark NS6 have good EQ controls that have a similar quality when used in clubs. I know the mc6000 allows you to use the mixer in analog format while connected to VDJ, but not the NS6. then again, I don't know if the denon's mixer changes quality from internal to external mode.

I actually just purchased the NS6 and it's a great unit ! but still not sure if the mixer is as good as the regular analog. send your inputs please :-)

sbdj talks about using a plugin for his eq's that you can select the band cutoff frequencies, give him a pm to find out where to get it, but for me analog over digital any day for audio mixing... with analog there is no delay latency, if you change something it changes immediately, and generally you can get a brighter fatter sound to the music with different mixers, eg Allen & Heath Xone 92. It is nice to get a mixer with a crossfader that can be mapped as well for mixing video.

thanks ! I contacted sbdj and we're working on it. this is one aspect atomix needs to work on....the EQ's are not powerful enough on VDJ!
