Topic: Akai mpd16 with virtual dj?

i have my mpd16 plugged in, but how do i make virtual dj recognize it?

And when it does, how do i assign samplers to it?

You can use MIDI-controllers such as the Akai MPD16 only with Virtual DJ Pro, so you'll have to buy a license. After that you can assign wanted functions from Config-->Mappers.
 
I'm a pro user, and i can't get VDJ to recognize it. It works in acid pro,and with my sample banks, so i know the computer knows its there. It's not showing up under the config - mappers section.
 
Only devices with built-in support are displayed in the mapper device menu. You should however be able to map the Akai MPD16 by selecting "Simple MIDI mapper" from the device menu.
