When I set up at my gigs and load the VD7, I am noticing that my CPU meter is constantly around 70% and when I am using videos it goes higher. This pass weekend the cpu maxed out and froze during a gig to where i had to switch to cds and shut the computer down and start over. I run a Dell Inspiron 1545 with 4GB of ram. How can I stop this from happening again ? Thanks

make sure you turn off wifi before you start it chews up your cpu, you can also disable any background processes that aren't needed, use dpc latency checker to find the culprit, its in one of the sticky posts.

Make sure that you have not resized or maximised the skin (User interface.)
On some systems, this can cause increased CPU usage depending on the capabilities of the graphics card and whether fast or quality resizing has been chosen in CONFIG -> Performances (Quality will result in better quality resized graphics but much higher CPU usage as a result.)
Please either use the skin at its correct size or download and use a skin that better suits your screen resolution from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/skins.html
