Topic: Using Numark Mixtrack PRO at Gigs?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Could I use the Mixtrack pro to do gigs at like parties and stuff? Can you plug it into amps and stuff? Just want to know before I purchase one, because it comes with Virtual DJ.
Thanks a bunch, Andrew

A lot of people including myself start with the mixtrack pro - several threads with info on how to hook it up.

Do you mean started with the Mixtrack pro?

The Mixtrack is a beginners unit, a great unit but considered a starter product. Most people out grow after awhile. I think that's what he means. I myself have never used it so I don't know the ins and outs of the unit. But like he said do a search and you should find all the info you need.

Practice and good luck

haha that was a bit mean... its gone though

I thought you meant like start shows with it? Idk... i'm new to digital mixing and its been forever since i mixed at all

It is a product that has all of the options you need for a gig. It has a built in sound card with decent output but is entry level since it has only RCA outputs and no external inputs for additional equipment. I still take mine to every gig as my backup unit and had to use it for the entire night on St. Patrick's Day due to technical issues. If you are used to using 1200's then you won't like the delay in scratching but for the price point the Mixtrack Pro compares favorably to other controllers in its segment. I personally like the size of the platters compared to something like the Vestax Typhoon. If you are totally mobile it is lightweight but packs in a lot of features. Over all probably the best overall unit for under $300. There are a lot of things that fall into the "personal preference" at this level like some controllers have metal jog dials or sliders vs knobs for some of the controls.

The Mixtrack Pro does have one known issue which is more of a RTFM item than anything. There are two sets of RCA outputs on the unit but if you are cueing with headphones you can only use one of the outputs. Not really a limitation but can be confusing when you first set it up. But RTFM

Use it all the time. I have made about $3,000 with it. Its all in the DJ not the unit. I will tell you this; you do grow out of it and the faders go wacko. The simple hookup V.S. lugging around cdjs and TC hook up is what got me. Now Waiting on the NS6 by Numark.

I have the mixtrack pro, I just started getting pro gigs & even some of the dj's I'm around that don't know anything about it look at it & says it's cool. It has not failed me yet & the clients that I have been lucky 2 deal with doesn't care about the equipment I am using as long as I'm playing good music.

My only complaint with the Mixtrack Pro and VDJ for that matter is the output level. I can have the faders all the way up and the gain levels right below distortion, but it is still not as loud as playing a CD.

Other than the RCA outs and the somewhat cheap build, I love the hell out of my Mixtrack Pro. Will be upgrading to an American DJ VMS4 soon though, its a bit more pro in build quality and also has inputs. But the mixtrack does very well for me atm.

I agree with mtowndj (Hey just curious are u from Memphis, TN?) I am planning on upgrading to something with motorized faders before the end of this year is out, I am a mobile DJ so I don't have steady gigs just yet.
