I just got my American Audio VMS-4 today and i know there is a lot of posts with problems but if anyone could help would be great..
im using a windows 7, Dell Studio 1555, with VDJ 7 Pro - 4 deck skin, and the VMS-4..
My settings are..
INPUTS - NONE
OUTPUTS - External Mixer - Left Deck 1&2 , Right Deck 3&4
SOUND CARD - ASIO DRIVER -
8 in 2 out
Midilog 1 - Out 1 Out 2
Midilog 2 - Out 3 Out 4
Midilog 3 - Out 5 Out 6
Midilog 4 - Out 7 Out 8
Master Rec Disabled Disabled
i have now kind of got the hang of the controller and ive noticed that the volume faders on the controller dont work individually, only 1 of them works as a MASTER VOLUME for all 4 decks and the same for GAIN, TREBLE, MID, BASS. Ive tryed mapping each 1 on its own but only when the deck is selected in VDJ does it work, and you can use any of the FADERS to control the deck..
so if i was playing a song in DECK 1 on VDJ and i had DECK 2 selected and i went to lower the volume on DECK 1 on the VMS4 it would only lower DECK 2 because its the one selected .. i cant find a way 2 map each fader to each deck individually
if any1 has any idea what im on about would be great if you could help..
Also the Headphone port just dosen't work at all .. ive got all the knobs turned in the right position but pressing the cue buttons does nothing but give out a wierd scratch sound the odd time..

The limited Edition of VirtualDJ will not allow you to map your controller. It will work only if you activate the 20days Trial but after that it will return to factory settings. In case you need to upgrade to Pro Full version at a discount please visit http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
You may also try the Pro Full version for 10 minutes at a time by download ing the Free Home Version http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
In case you need to map the mixer part of VMS4, you need to include the deck number before the action..
Example
deck 1 fake_eq_low
or
deck 3 fake_level

The mapping worked great thanks for the tip on putting the deck # before the code i now have the VMS4 all mapped .. just the headphone problem now :D
