Topic: Multiple controllers, one sound device and 4 decks

I know this has been discussed before so please forgive me, but the search function on the forum is poop. No offense. : )

I currently use a Hercules MK2, considering purchase of Numark MixTrack. What I would like to do is use the MixTrack for decks 1 and 2 and the MK2 for decks 3 and 4 and the audio interface. Decks 1 and 2 would be exclusively for music and 3 and 4 for music and videos, using the crossfader on the MK2 for the video crossfader.

I think I will need ASIO4All to run the two controllers but I have no experience with this so I will be asking for help later I'm sure.
My main concern is audio config with 2 controllers, 4 decks and 1 audio interface. How would I select deck 3 for preview if deck 1 is already playing live? (assuming decks 1 & 3 are on the left and 2 & 4 are on the right) Map keys for Cue1, Cue2, Cue3 and Cue4, and map keys that assign decks to crossfader, maybe?

Really, I guess I need to know if this is a configuration that is possible and makes sense. Input please.
Thanks guys and gals.

i have 2 hercules RMX's and i'm trying to get both running at the same time and have the same problem as you to not knowing what the fuck i'm really doing at all, haha. i haven't had much luck on anybody getting back to me with help on my topic either.

with that being said, it seems like you want to utilize the new multiple deck thing just as i did. with no luck on finding out how to hook up both my RMX's, i did find a thread that said how to allow me to map my RMX so that i could press the source 1 button (really, it could be any button you choose) and my left deck on my RMX would switch from deck 1 to deck 3. as with the source 2 button, if i pressed that it would switch my right deck from deck 2 to deck 4. this is essentially what i was wanting to do, but wanted it with my 2 RMX's. a tad confusing at first but i'll have it mastered in about a week.

the reason why i said all that was maybe you could/would want to do the same thing with your MK2 (i've never used an MK2 so i don't even know if this is possible). if not, i tried helping anyhow, haha.
