VDJ7 you say? Time to see if this will be the release that tears me away from VDJ5.

Edit: Hey! More decks... I'm sure we can work something out.

Cheers from Cyprus

direct updates of mp3 tags, great tag management, better playlist management - really nice and very much appreciated. The multiple desk support is nice too!

I can finally throw out iTunes!

Thanks team :)

Is there a way to bulk-update tags to match the bulk-read tags?

Sadly not .... VDJ has added the ability to change tags on individual files but batch tagging is not something I can see happening going forward. There are many dedicated programs out there for that purpose.

I would love to be able to export all the BPM's to the tags but it's not possible at present.

"IT ROCKS" Thanks Atomix for another great Innovaton! :)

does anybody know how long u can use the tiemcode option in the home edition?

There is a 10 minute trial of PRO features available in the Home Edition.

Ummmm.... Check the User Guide for 'batch' tagging. :)

Ummmm... Just checked the user guide and the only reference to "Batch" is in regard to reading the tags or updating the database.

The one thing that VDJ can do that other software can't is to mass update the BPM field in the tag. Doing this individually for our music libraries would take a while ;-)

Cheers,

Roy

Ok ... it is a bit 'hidden' if you don't read closely :)

page 10 ...

"When opening the File Info as part of highlighting multiple files, the [Apply to all] button can be used to apply changes to the selected songs. The fields that changes can be applied to in this situation are Artist, Album, Composer, Genre, Comment, Field1, Field2, and Rating."

Ahhh sweet, and it writes those back to the MP3...? Shame BPM isn't on that list though ;-(

For a moment i thought that the original question from the user, was refered to the id3tags and not the VDJ database filelds. So, yes those vdj fields work with batch update (apply to all), but id3tag do not... correct?

My understanding is that "apply to all" will work in the internal VDJ database but not with external tags.
