I was wondering if there was a way I can map the effects to the new skins or do i have to use my mouse to click on the effect I want all the time. I know you can do it on the standard skin. But I like the new skins better.

In the LE 5 version there is no way to map (that I know of). If you have VDJ 6 you can map the buttons of your controler or the the skin with the bold script below:
effect active : start or stop the effect. you can also specify an effect by name (effect "my_effect" active on), or use a different effect slot ('effect 3 active').
