Using latest drivers for both VDJ and Hercules Rmx and I hear a high pitched "whine" from my speakers.
Config consists of:
WDM drivers (ASIO failed)
Rmx 1+2 (RCA) to line 1 of mixer
The aforementioned sound goes away when I'm not running VDJ.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try downloading asio4all (www.asio4all.com) check the setting: always resample from 44100 hz to 48000 hz. Then open VDJ en set the soundcard to asio4all.

What you you mean exactly by ASIO failed ?
Did you get any error messages ?
Did you check if any FX or loop samples might be enabled in VDJ ?

another thing you can try:
If your laptop has a third "ground" pin on the laptop power supply, get a two prong adaptor and "lift" the ground because sometimes there is a ground difference between a "consumer" device like a laptop and professional audio gear like your power amp or separate mixing console. (Don't ever lift the ground on your mixer or power amp! This could be a dangerous situation!)

You could also buy a Ground Loop Isolator

is this a quick loud buzz or is it a constant buzz. I'm getting a quick loud buzz that happens about 20 times a night and I'm trying to figure it out.
