Hi i use the serato CV02 timcode vinyls as i was told these tend to work the best with VDJ.
So all i do is select the Serato CV02 A-side from the drop down box in the timcode config.
Then i have to adjust my gain so the circles are in the four boxes.
At first the circles were a little out of shape so i had to adjust the left/right and phase/anti knobs until i got my near perfect signals.
After that i had 100% signal then i just go into the debug menu and fine tune it to how i like it but that is something you can play with yourself to find out how you like yours to work ( I like mine to act just like normal vinyls would as that is the whole point of using turntables otherwise i would of kept one of the many midi controllers i have brought over the years).
Just hang in there mate it will be something simple that is not setup right cus thats the problem i had but mine turned out to be a wire had come off within my tonearm of one of my turntables and that was effecting my signal.
What carts and needles are you using on your turntables

@ Rodster.. The Noise map is..Example. if you are using Virtual DJ vinyls, your noise map is Virtual DJ. If your using Serato Vinyls, your noise map is Serato. Its the same as Cds too. A noise map has to be 100% so you can have good reading on your tutntable or cd player. When you move the pitch control on the turntable or CD player, the pitch will move on virtual dj. The noise map is a signal comand telling virtual dj what to.

Not even circles.
Is it flat line, or a square box?
Either of those could mean you need new needles.
I suppose it's possible that you don't have the gain up enough.
Also possible that one of the connectors between the cart and the tone-arm is dirty(clean with a pencil eraser)
The thing with needles is that sometimes when they wear out, they will lean to one side. then you'll get flat line or box.
Are we sure we've got the mixer on the correct line/phono setting?
Just throwing some stuff out that might help.

Ok what i suggest is that you use your serato CV02 on a side on your turntable.
Select the engine as Sreato CV02 A-Side.
Let me know the output of this if it still does not help i would suggest you have something setup wrong with your hardware and not virtual dj.
You could always reset virtual dj to factoy setting (In the info Tab) then start to set them up from scratch (If you still believe this to be a software error)
Failing that it sounds to me like a hardware error or hardware setup error.
Your needles stanton 500 v.3 will work with VDJ As i have tried these in the past
Were you needles purchased brand new if so could they be faulty (I purchased a brand new set once and one of them was faulty giving me a line instead of a circle i had a replacement needle sent and everything was fine). The chance of both being faulty are slim. (The way i tested mine for being faulty was i played a normal vinyl record and the music only came out of 1 speaker)
Do you have all your cables plug into the right places (Also are any cables faulty)
Is your turntables setup to line or phono on your virtual vinyl box. If your turntables give out line level out put them plug them into line otherwise leave them in phono.
After you have checked all these then oped vdj start you timecode and turn the gain up until you see the circle.
Let me no how you get on with all this.
I will post several screen shots later on today of possible errors let me no if any match what you are getting

If you can only get a line om the graph, then you may only have one channel with signal and the other isn't there, please check your cables, try a regular vinyl in your mixer to make sure your cartridge and needle is ok.
Also check your turnatbles are set correctly:

If you are getting lines then this is a hardware fault somewhere meaning you have it setup wrong or you have something faulty somewhere.

if you're gettin a box, it's out of phase. it will probably still play regular vinyl though. This is a needle problem, I'm almost sure of it.
Think you 're gonna need some new needles. Have you cleaned them lately. I can't recommend this, but it does work. Put them tonearm in the cradle and lock it in. Then gently kind of flick the little arm on the cart used for lifting the needle. Often, when we clean the needles with a brush, there is still dirt behind it that we can't see. Flicking it like this will shake that dirt out. Sounds crazy but it works.
What's happening here is that for some reason the needle is riding sideways in the groove, that's why you're getting the box. It could be worn out or broken(the arm not the point), or there could very likely be dirt behind the little need arm.
