Topic: Amplifier & Speaker Recommendations?

Man, I am so confused; the more I read on amps & speaker matching, the more confuse I get. I'm just getting my equipment together for PC DJing at small functions like weddings, and parties at small to medium dance halls. So, can somebody hook me up with an amp and speaker combo that will work well? Budget? About $800 - $1000 total for amp and speakers. Thanks to anyone who responds.

if you're doing small to medium sized venues, i say you get powered speakers. for the price you can get some great deals used... ie JBLs which sounds good and are loud.

if you really want to go new, i sae you buy the behringer b215as, ridiculously good for the price.

i have 2 gx5 ampl,2 speaker peavey 215 & 2 peavey18 sub,work good.
