Hi. I have a problem with my dj i/o and VDJ. At random points I get a digital distortion which comes for about 10-15 secs then disappears again. Ive tried every thing, all the latency advice that people have given me on this forum. Done the latency checker thing. I have even had the laptop re-formatted and put back to 'new' but I still get this problem. I cant dj with it. Can anyone help? My laptop is a toshiba satellite l300. It has 3gb ram 160 gb hard drive and a AMD turion dual core processor. If there is no solution, could anyone recommend another soundcard to try? It doesnt do distort with my cheap £5 usb sound card, but this one has no ability to monitor in head phones and only has a 3.5mm jack output. Cheers.

i'm a big fan at the moment from Native Instruments (NI Audio2DJ, Audio4DJ or Audio8DJ)
Great Soundcards!
But did you try to use your I/O on another USB Port then normal?
Maybe the card is simple damaged or you have accidentally Keylock activated?
Keylock/Beatlock distort sometimes the sound ;-)
Try these settings ;-)
config/performance
Presents -> Fastest
latency > Auto
savemode and/or overclock > disabled (try differnet combinations)
scratch > quality & simple
48-44 > basic interpolation
mastertempo > fast
BTW: The tracks are already loaded before you play the track and the sound distort?
