Boy am i glad to be back. I drove 137 miles... and i got back home at 4 am. I meet the virtual dj crew and many other from different companies that recognized me from the DJ forums. Here are the pictures you wanted to see. Enjoy.

Nice meeting you yesterday Caliente, along with Dj Cyder, A Man and his Music. I was going to post some pics but yours turned out better, had a new camera and not all came out good. I had about the same drive home but didn't get there till 530a.m. I wasn't leaving the Promo Only/Pioneer party untill I saw Deborah Cox and Pitbull. All the perfomers were great, but they were awesome. When I get the chance I'll try and post some of my pics. Keith

By the way, noticed a drum kit (as I do!!) in your 2nd last shot....were there live bands there also? If so, who?

Pitbull performed with a full band.
 
I was told in the artist seminar that Pitbull would be with a live band. I didn't stick around to verify that. I started fading around 1230 but I wasn't going to leave til after I saw Deborah Cox.

I was in the vip area and let me tell ya, that woman got a standing ovation.

I felt bad for Kaci Battaglia. She is HOT (saw her up close at the artist seminar) but it seemed like no one applauded her after her number. It was quiet compared to the applause people gave the previous performers.

I took some pictures too. VDJ booth was rockin with crowds the times I was there. I'll try and post the pics after my trip to Chicago.

For the record, I freakin love the new rackmount Pioneer controller that works with vdj! It is schwweeet!

I got videos of Pitbull's performance (which was great) I just have to upload it to youtube. And yes he used a live band which was pretty awesome for him to do because everybody else was just using tracks (and there was about 10 performers in total, I think even more).

I had a great time at the AC EXPO!!! I'm glad VDJ was There... BTW at the Denon Seminar on Wednesday, VDJ was the MOST USED SOFTWARE among all the professionals!!!!
 
Im thinkin the woman and I will try to come out next year to help in the VDJ Booth. Make a lil vacation out of it. Lookin good guys.

I think i saw everything.. Too many times. After walking around so much, i had to take a break. One thing i noticed from a distance was a bar over by the Pioneer main stage. You know i had to get my drink on... Let me get a Bacardi N Coke please...
 
I was disappointed about this year's expo. It seemed smaller and less exhibitors. There have been better expos in the past...going back to when it was held at the Trump Plaza. I understand things are tight, but I went in wanting to spend some money but found it hard to do so. Stopped by the Virtual DJ booth hoping to get a t-shirt, but no dice. I was not about to buy the software again. I have been a faithful and satisfied user since 2005.
 
i am disapointed with this years expo also in some ways. But satisfied in others.
Big dissapointment was the virtual dj booth. Yes the NS7 worked with the new version of VDJ 6.0.2 (beta) not out yet. but it has random dropouts and it happened few times i was there, Larry D said it happens sometimes with this version still...but other than that it worked very well, just not stable yet.
Than they tried to get the denon s3700s to work midi with the VDJ but that was a pure FAIL. Same thing with the little denon midi decks they had there, forgot the name of them. They were using windows 7 also.
It was actually weird, because I believe VDJ booth was the only booth with a PC. Everything else was mac. I asked if there is a good version coming out for mac, and they said"that is a good question....we all want it to work on mac but its totally different to code the program for mac, than for pc. VDJ was originally built for PC and is being pushed onto mac, it same as Rane serato was built for mac and was pushed for PC".
So I did not get much hope out of that answer. Update should be out in a month or so I was told.

But virtual dj booth had a big audience so it was a good show..i am still going tomorrow.

Numark NS7 with Itch
Serato booth (also a disapointment, not loud enough and djs did not do anything interesting with the video, but than serato was used every where else so they got a promo either way)
