On the old interface i would set the cue bar to the extreme left in order to preview the next track on its own in the headphones and then move it right as and when to introduce sound from track currently playing in master. On the new interface i cant seem to recreate this system and the problem is not consistant...
Firstly, adjusting the cue knob to its extreme left produces no sound (even when both decks are playing) i.e. when on the old system i would be previewing the track coming in on its own. Turning the cue knob right has the effect of introducing sound only from the non-master deck and therefore i cant get the master deck in the heaphones at all.
So... i reverted back to an old VDJ 5 skin with the old cue/mix bar at the top and i was able to mix as described at the top again. Now, when i try going back to the new skin the problem remains except turning the cue knob right introduces sound from both decks.
If anyone could explain how i can achieve the previewing system described at the top on the new interface it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Simon

Please provide more information about your soundcard settings as this is key to how the CUE/MIX feature functions.

I have the same problem with my hercules dj console rmx. Monitor (CUE/MIX) does not work like in version 5, where you could move between the two songs. Now this option works depending on the crossfader and the Cue selected.... the behaviour is not confortable and it seems random... If someone knows how to solve it, please say to us :)

I'm having the same issue. I'm using the following:
VDJ 6.0.1 Pro
VDJ9 Pro (Widescreen) Skin
Hercules RMX Console
Regardless of my soundcard settings, turing the Volume knob and the Monitor (Cue/Mix) knob on the Hercules does nothing in VDJ. I can use the mouse to turn the knob on the skin and my headphone volume does change.
Is there some type of mapping that was missed for the Monitor and Headphone Volume knob? (Not that I know how to map midi)

No problem with the CUE/MIX on the Rmx on my side. I'm using the default configuration as far as the controller is concerned.
As for the soundcard configuration, standard also:
- Input : None
- Output(s): Headphone > Master Chan 1&2 / Headphone 3&4
-Soundcard: DJ Console RMX > APPLY EQ ON EXTERNAL SOURCES is applied ( but it works the same without)
Are you guys using a different configuration ?

hi... I was looking for the same feature in Virtual DJ because I knew previous versions had it. If you are using a midi controller, just bind the function "headphones_mix" to a knob. Had to go through an old vdj skin to find the function argument (auto-learn and pressed it), but I suppose it will work independent of skin
