take your pitch sensitivity to 1000 and mix something

tried that already from another thread... no go.. makes it worse.. I think my pitch sensitivity is over 2000 but I forget.. I spent hours and hours tweaking this to get it as good as it is now ... but NOT like 5.07

My theory is any amount of TWEAKING isnt going to solve the issue.. I THINK it is a software bug in the timecode engine and needs to be resolved by VDJ.. They, However, will not respond to my tickets!

wish i could help further but us using tcv theres no software that eliminates this fluctuation, on turntables its called flutter and something wow but on cdj i dont think would be an issue....but even with this fluctuation i have no problems in our mix and i we dont use any of the auto sync or auto pitch features(we're real DJs) is your timecode burned from yourself or ordered from vdj...if you burn your own disk..use the best disk..and make sure ur pc or mac is config right and not using alot of resources..but me and brother had all types of problems until we went and tweaked the pc itself...when he gets off duty today ill get him to sign in and see if he can help...

how do u post the capture image

They haven't answer my ticket either.......i'm using cdj's 1000mk3 and conectiv as my soundcard pitch drifts, then use Serato sl1 soundcard with serato cd's and vdj cd's and OMG is worst.

VDJ HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT.........PLEASE CHANGE THE TIMECODE ENGINE

i have reverted back to 5.2.1, i had to uninstall vdj then delete all the files from the vdj folder in my program files and my documents. . . just make sure to copy any xml database files to your desktop 1st.

DO you think I can go back to 5.07 and still have my database??? I really like 6 but if they dont RESPOND.. can SOMEONE CALL the phone # for support and tell them this issue.. If I was home during the times they have support I would call myself but I am at my day job.

I got both versions on my laptop, i'm using 5.2 with enginev4 (which still drifts a little) until 6.0 get's a new engine.......

If I reinstall 5.07 but in a different directory can I copy over the plugins and wil the database still work even though it was updated to 6??? Do I need to move anything else over to the 5.07 directory??

Also does anyone have a link to the 5.07 installer??

If you see Database V5 where your music folder is at then you are ok, hopefully you did not deleted when you install 6.0.

I got both databases on my external hd, but also remember anything scanned with 6.0 won't be in your 5.07 database, just scan the files when you open 5.07

All i did was install 5.2 in my documents and settings folder that's all, it will pull your plug ins, skins, etc. from your actual... my documents virtual dj folder. Also if you are using 6.0 before you close it make sure to choose a skin that's compatible with V5(i use cioce's cue rmx v1.8) and then you can open 5.07 or 5.2 if you don't follow those steps you will get a crash when you try to open 5.07 or 5.2

You only have to do this once as long as you using 5.07 or 5.2

I forgot to mention whenever i wanna use 5.2 i have to open it from my documents and settings but of course you can make a desktop shorcut and rename it VDJ5 or whatever.....

hey guys, i have been playing around with my performance settings and this seems to have fixed the problem - don't know exactly what it was but try setting up like this and see if it works for you

but thats only ay 99% and I am getting 100% .. everything works except the pitch drifting... Including scratching

also try smart relative mode

I thank everyone for their suggestions and comments to this thread.. HOWEVER I think this is not a case of tweaking the software.. I think this IS a case of virtual DJ needing to FIX the issue.. all was find in 5.07 and since 5.1 its been bad.. I know for a fact that there was an issue because VIRTUAL DJ told me that they knew about the time code issue and would fix in th next version. Well here is the next version and its not resolved.. COME ON VDJ SUPPORT.. please answer my tickets and resolve the issue so many of us have! I'll say this again, there is a phone # for support.. can someone who has the problem and is home during the day with their equipment please call and see what can be done?

Thanks...

I also have this problem with my Numark 1650's, right deck drifts - Another problem i have with VDJ 6 is the fact that my bpm doesn't change and vary when i am playing the vinyls like VDJ 5. Has anyone noticed this?

I also can't seem to find an obvious setting to allow the BPM's to change.

Anyone else noticed this?

i have noticed the pitch not changing in vdj screen when you change it on the tt or cdj? i asked about this and got no response as well.

I have solved my issue with the BPM drifting using TCV. A previous post explained to set the pitch sensitivity and lead time to 0. I did that. The program still scans BPM on the track, but no longer changes when I change the pitch on the TT\\\'s. With that being said, I don\\\'t really care about that, because when I beat match the songs manually, they now stay matched. NO MORE DRIFT. Again, the BPM that is displayed in the program is only the BPM that was scanned for the song. It does not change when I adjust the pitch on my TT\\\'s. I don\\\'t mind that so much as I am an old school beat-mixer and am used to doing it the old fashioned way. Here are shots of my setting. I hope it helps some one with this very frustrating problem. And THANKS to the person who posted the ZERO setting for Pitch Sensitivity and Lead time. Not sure which one did the trick, but that\\\'s ok. I\\\'m mixing away now.

PS, if some one sees something in my settings I can improve upon, please let me know. Thanks.
