Hi,
I´m curious. As I understand, the console internally uses 48khz. This makes it necessary for the OS to resample the 44.1khz encoded MP3s, so they can be played back at 48khz. To my knowledge, this makes the sound interpolated and not that clear anymore. This step is obsolete when the console is switched to 44.1khz by it´s config application (the green alien thing).
Now I´m wondering - since I only use VDJ and the console for recording mixes at home - if I have to care about this at all? The upsampling is only done when the sound is transfered to the console, right? So the music I record in VDJ is 44.1khz and as good as it gets, no matter which output device i´m using, right?
bye, Mike
