when i will unplug the 1/8th cable out from my headphone jack and plug it back in, the audio from the players does not come out but i can play a samples section. any ideas why? this is a dell studio 15 and i would like to have one headphone jack as the out put and the other one to cue and hear the song but from some reason playing with the build in sound it comes out on one side. ideas and thoughts please. thanks.

You have to change the settings in the Soundcard Options. There you have to remap the front jacks as speaker, then it will work!
