Hi guys,

Ive recently purchased the DDJ-EGRO-K from pioneer, but i can't seem to get it working. Im running it with virtual dj on a windows xp laptop. I have installed all the required drivers and updated the firmware. Windows recognizes the device, because it tells me 'New Device (DDJ-EGRO) Ready to use' . But when i start up VDJ the software doesnt find the controller, VDJ does recognize it a and audio device in the sound setup but nothing more. Any ideas?

Assuming it's the same as the VirtualDJ version (DDJ-ERGOV), then this is probably because you are using an out-of-date version of the software that doesn't support it.

Hi Guys,

I seem to be having an issue when using my VDJ with a pair of CDJ2000's as both HID controllers and soundcards.
Both CDJ's are on firmware 4.05.

After finishing my set and the next dj gets ready to take over, they insert a cd into the CDJ2000 and then try to switch from LINK mode to CD, thats when they get just a "waiting" message displayed on the CDJ and nothing happens, even trying to switch back to LINK mode fails!
This has happened to both of the CDJ2000's (depending on which deck i finish my set on) so dont think its a hardware issue.
The only way to recover the CDJ to work again is to either kill VDJ or restart the CDJ (this results in VDJ crashing), either way it will stop the music flat. Which you can imagine is not a good thing to a packed nightclub.

Also i have noticed when in cueing up a track it will drift quite a bit for no apparent reason too meaning that i have to adjust with the platter constantly. I have tried to set the sensitivity down for cueing, but it only just makes the response when using it slower doesnt resolve the issue.

Any help on this would be apreciated.

Try upgrading the CDJ's firmware.
I believe the 2000's are up to 4.11 at the moment.

I have also had the Cue drifting issue and resolved this by isolating the deck a little bit better from the console.
I used mats made from Sorbothane.

Not sure its the firmware as it did it before i upgraded them to 4.05 too, but no harm in trying that too.

As for the cue drifting, i think you can be right, seems to be worse when its bass heavy tracks.
Problem is when it does do it also stops the cue or play button from working intermittently.

i here still wondering if anyone has got the ddj s1 to cratch properly with virtual dj. i actuall bought a numark mix deck about two years ago and got the virtual dj le with it. I was having the same scratcing issues with it that's why i bought the ddj s1. works like a charm with itch. but itch is not as user friendly as virtual dj. in my opinion(not disrespticting itch software either) i am willing to buy the vdj softeware again just wanna know if the scratiching issue has been resolved yet for the ddj s1, before i go and spend my money and still have the same problems. i am hoping someone would really take the time to answeer me this time with a fast respone plz and thx you.

Well I guess as some other people i have hard time configuring my set up
I have Pioneer DJM 2000 as well as Pioneer CDJ 2000-two of them, I also have VDJ as my software.
I would like to have my cdj and djm as midi and be able to use vdj with all of its features.
Since DJM have sound card do i need USB Hub in order to connect the CDJ's and the DJM to my laptop.
Please help
 
OK you have three devices with USB connections, right? 2x CDJs and 1x DJM.

How many USB sockets does your computer have?

If it has less than three then you need a hub.
 
I have recently purchased a Pioneer 350 set (cdj 350 & djm 350)
They work great with virtual DJ but i have encountered a problem, both decks play through the same channel this only happens with virtual dj.

Please Help!!
 
You need to change the audio settings in VDJ so that each virtual deck plays through a different CDJ sound card.
 
Ok updated both CDJS to 4.11 and they still having the issue where i finish my set and the next dj pops in a cd, VDJ will then just lock up and no longer accept control from that deck.
The display on the CDJ's will also just say "waiting" and the only way to recover the deck is to power cycle it.
That obviously then crashes VDJ instantly and all music stops.

Im running a lenovo i5 processor laptop (x201) with 4gb ram on XP sp3 with no other software installed really other then VDJ.
Laptop is not used on the net as i transfer songs to it via USB sticks (hopefully minimise the risks of viruses this way)

Any more help on this issue will be appreciated as its getting to the point i wanna just start using cds again.

I havent tried to reinstall VDJ but doubt that will solve the issue.

Any one else suffered this issue on a CDJ2000 using HID with VDJ?
 
help! I have the pioneer ddj ergo-v. Well now my question is this: such as renaming it the speed of turns of the leds on the jog dial to make more real the scrath? Xq to turn around and return to the point where you did not scrath remains in the same place ... it would emulate the movement of the dish of the skin in the leds on the jog dial to meaningful and real movement of the jog as a disk or vinyl. ..

Maybe it has something to do this: LED_VINYL_MODE "pitch_bend -5% 500ms" ¿?¿?

And if there is a definition file or deviance??...

The LED movement does not have a direct association to the linear time of movement. It is simply a visual representation of direction of movement. They will never be matched.

You say is that it is a visual representation and that is never going to be matched because there is no line of code to match the movement of the wheel of the computer with the software ... from my point of view it seems to me that is a question to solve?? i do not know the operation of the led in another soft, but I know that in Serato enter this lighting option of travel there is not only are red lights illuminated the wheels.... i will contact with the support of pioneer to see what they say, Salutations...
 
Hi there, Cannot connect my new Pioneer XDJ-AERO with my VDJ Pro. On open VDJ error message "Error in the sound driver of CoreAudio. Your soundcard is probably not connected, or the settings are incorrect"... AERO Firmware is 1.0.6. Driver installed from CD that came with the unit.

Any way to download just the skin for the WEGO? I already have PRO and don't want to install the LE version so is there a way to install the WEGO skin separately? :)
 
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but ...

WEGO Controller

Sync button on deck 1 (when using both 2 deck skin and 4 deck vdj pro skins) does not actually "sync" to match the BPM of the other deck(s).

The Sync flashes when pressed but, again repeating, does not set the bpm to the other deck.

When using the 4 deck skin Sync on Deck 3 DOES change to match another deck but does NOT on Deck 1 period.

I did make a change to the mapper of Jogwheel_touch but that was it, don't see how it could have effected the sync map.
