Topic: Connecting DJM800 to Virtual DJ?????

Yes, that cable is good for connecting the Pioneer DJM 800 to your laptop!!
 
After I connect that cable, what do I have to do in Virtual DJ to make it see it.
 
1- activate general midi on VDJ

2- activate midi on the mixer (button midi on/off)

3- press start/stop on the right bottom of the mixer to synchronize the mixer with VDJ

4- in VDJ, configuration, external controller, right click on general midi, configurate

5- choose the functions, one by one, you want (fader, bass...) and assign a control (on the mixer) by pressing on the button.

No matter what I do I cant get this thing to work. The on/off button you are talking about is for the effects on and off. I started the midi I went to midi in VDJ selected crossfader and it is not showing up in the main screen after I hit ok. Can someonre please help, I want to try video tonight.
 
I don´t really remember what i did when i have it, I think i had to activate midi on mixer, then VDJ recognized midi msgs. Be sure to connect correct midi plug into mixer if you have 2 of them at cable (in and out).
 
I got it to work, I had the wrong midi cable plugged into the mixer. Sorry if I had a similar question in a different topic, It is ok to shoot me now...
