Hi. I'm Amy. I've spent most of my life in music as a DJ, fronting a live band for 22 years and working as a professional event/entertainment coordinator. As far as I know, I am the only DJ in my area who does the crazy things I do--and they keep getting crazier. After years in the field (in one way, shape, or form) I have only recently decided to embark on this whole new facet of entertainment and I am ECSTATIC I have done so. I am sure there is nearly nothing I can tell most of you that would help so I must admit I am being a bit selfish when I say, "I want to learn as much as I can from all of you," so hopefully, we can build a rapport. Being that I am over 45, mixing behind the Numark Mixdeck has turned heads, increased crowds, and yes--I am becomming triple-booked on some days and nights. I love it so much that I just recently purchased a Mixtrack Pro. Anyone feeling frustrations and setbacks or confusion in learning this beautiful system of delivering sheer joy to people; don't be. I have come to realize that ANYTHING new is always a challenge in this business but mastering it opens new doors to making what we do SO MUCH EASIER. Learn everything you can and stick with it and you will find it is everything you ever wanted or needed to obtain that special cutting edge that catapults you above all those wannabees.
